MIAMI-DADE COUNTY
DEPARTMENT OF REGULATORY AND ECONOMIC RESOURCES
When: Saturday, September 24, 2022, 9 a.m. to noon.
Where: South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center (now Dennis C. Moss Cultural Arts Center), 10905 SW 211th Street, Miami, 33189
What breaks up strong wind, absorbs floodwaters, cools your house/neighborhood and fights global warming? Trees!
The Division of Environmental Resources Management will be giving FREE trees to the community through its popular Adopt-a-Tree program. Residents eligible to adopt trees will be able to choose from Jackfruit, Carambola, Locustberry, Jamaican Caper, Crabwood and Firebush.
Pre-register today to select tree preferences and save time. Trees are still on a first-come, first-served basis. While saving significant time, pre-registration does not guarantee trees or tree preferences if supplies run out. If you have pre-registered for a previous event and were unable to attend, you are still eligible to pre-register for this event and adopt your two trees.
For complete rules or more information, call 311 or visit us online.
Also, at this event, the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department will be exchanging high-efficiency showerheads and up to three energy-efficient compact fluorescent light bulbs absolutely FREE for those residents who bring their old showerheads and incandescent light bulbs to the event (while supplies last).
