Camp Mahachee Tree Planting & Entrance Cleanup

Hello Camp Mahachee Front Entrance Team:
We’re excited for our final Camp Mahachee front entrance clean-up event this Sunday, October 22 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm. At this time, we have about 50 Girl Scouts/volunteers who will be joining us. If you haven’t already registered, please do so TODAY so we have a better sense of how many volunteers we can expect: https://bit.ly/MahacheeTreePlanting
We have messaged to volunteers that they will be laying the trail, tending to trees, and pulling weeds. Girls will also be painting more rocks for around the fountain. Sarah will be coming this week to treat some of the invasives and clean-up the area. In terms of tables/support for the day, here’s what I know is confirmed or in the works:
* Miami Blue – support with restoration area along West Matheson side.
* TREEmendous – not yet confirmed but hoping they will help with tending the trees.
* Coral Gables Garden Club – registration and support with butterfly garden.
* Coral Gables Fire Department – moving large logs for trail.
We still need to have someone auger the holes for the trellis so we can install this on Sunday! Any suggestions of who could do this??
GSTF will provide water, tables and tents. Any other suggestions for Sunday?
