Loop Road Summer NABA Butterfly Count 2027

Come join us on our 1st Loop Road/Pinecrest NABA Count on Saturday July 17th, 2027.

There will be two teams, meeting at different starting points as follows.

Team #1 led by Linda Evans will rally at the eastern end of Loop Road, at the 40-mile bend (near the artesian well just off US 41, Tamiami Trail, SW 8th Street) meeting at 9:00 am and venture South. To register please contact Linda Evans at lmemia@aol.com .

Team #2 led by Dennis Olle, will meet at the Oasis Visitors Center (52105 Tamiami Trail) at 8:45 am. The team will then work their way East, making several stops including Clyde Butcher’s Big Cypress Gallery, Midway Campground and various other points along the Tamiami Canal. We probably will not stop at the Jetport (now Alligator Alcatraz), ending up at the 40-mile bend. To register please contact Dennis Olle at DennisOlle@me.com .

Make sure to dress appropriately for the environment, bring mosquito spray, sunscreen, water and a lunch.
