SUMMARY:Butterfly and Bird Day at Castellow Hammock
DESCRIPTION: Come to Butterfly & Bird Day\, an all-day festival at Castellow Hammock on Saturday\, September 17.  Miami-Dade County Parks\,  Tropical Audubon Society\, and the Miami Blue Chapter of the North American Butterfly Association have joined together to put on a “don’t miss it” day of activities\, including expert speakers; bird\, butterfly\, and hammock walks; plant and book sales; children’s activities; and organization information tables. Get lunch and snacks at the food truck\, or bring a picnic lunch; water will be provided for free. \nThe Bird Walk will start at 7:30 am; the festival starts at 9 am. \nFor the latest details\, see the schedule. \nDriving Directions:\n\nGo south on the Turnpike Extension to Exit 12 (Caribbean Boulevard).\nExit right\, and drive west on Caribbean Boulevard to US 1\, about 1/2 mile.\nDrive south on US 1 to SW 216 Street (Hainlin Mills Drive)\, and turn right.\nGo west on SW 216 Street to SW 162 Avenue\, and turn left.\nGo south on SW 162 Avenue about 1/3 mile. Castellow Hammock Park will be on your left.
