SUMMARY:FNPS Field Trip
DESCRIPTION:The Dade Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society has invited Miami Blue Chapter\, NABA to join them on a field trip to Pine Shore Pineland Preserve on Sat. December 10\, 2016.  Pine Shore is a remnant Pineland next to Gloria Floyd Elementary School.  Though tiny\, this site contains rare plants and is unusually high and sandy.  With Jimmy Lange\, field biologist at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden\, as a leader\, you’ll learn a lot about plants\, not just look at them. \nMeet at 9:30 a.m. \nAddress:  11151 SW 128 Street\, Miami\, Fla.\, 33176 \nTurn onto 128 St. from 117 Ave.  or 102 Ave. \nDifficulty:  Easy but not smooth paths. \nBring:  Drinks and sun protection. \nIf the weather is bad\, call Patty Phares at 305-878-5707 to confirm.  This field trip is for the study of plants and enjoyment of nature.  Collecting is not permitted.
