Go butterflying. \nSaturday-Sunday\, April 4-5\nLong Key Nature Center and other locations\n3501 SW 130 Avenue\nDavie\, Florida \nConference flyer (pdf) \nThis joint meeting is sponsored by NABA\, Broward County Parks\, Friends of Long Key (FOLK)\, and the following NABA chapters: Sarasota County\, Miami Blue (Miami-Dade and Monroe counties)\, Broward County\, Atala (Palm Beach County)\, and Tampa Bay Chapter. \nKeynote Speaker \nSunday\, April 5\, noon – 4 pm\nLong Key Nature Center \nDr. Jeffrey Glassberg\nIf We Can Save Butterflies\, Can We Save Ourselves? \nDr. Glassberg founded the North American Butterfly Association\, and serves as its President. He has written nine butterfly identification books. \nConference Registration \nFind the link for NABA members conference registration in the March e-news. (The March e-news will land in your in-box no later than February 22.) While there is no fee for this conference\, you do have to register\, and events are filling up. \nDuring registration\, NABA members will be able to request one or two tickets to the following activities: \n\nSat April 4\, 7:30 am – 8:30am:\ntour of Broward County Extension Service Gardens\, Davie\, FL\nSat April 4\, 10 am – 3 pm:\nEverglades Walk with Dr. Glassberg and Roger Hammer\n(90 minute drive from Davie\, FL)\nSat April 4\, 6:30 pm:\nDinner with Dr. Glassberg at Buca di Beppo\n($32.50 pp\, payable at the door)\nSun. April 5\, 10:15-11:30 am:\nWalk at Long Key Nature Center\nlimited to 20\nSun. April 5\, 12-4:\nExhibitors and Dr. Glassberg’s Keynote Address “If we can save butterflies\, we can save ourselves.”\n\nYou will be asked to identify your NABA chapter and to include your contact information so we can send more detailed information to you before the event.\nMiami Blue Call for Help \nOur chapter will have an informational table at the Sunday afternoon meeting. It is not too soon to volunteer; to do so\, contact Adam Skowronski. \nWe will also provide a basket for the raffle table\, relating to butterflies\, butterfly gardening\, and butterfly viewing.
