DESCRIPTION:The Miami Blue Chapter\, NABA  is excited to announce that our speaker for our February 5 meeting will be Frank Ridgley\, DVM\, Conservation and Research Department\, Zoo Miami\, Miami-Dade County Parks\, Recreation & Open Spaces.  His topic will be about the new habitat the zoo is creating to house threatened butterflies as a reservoir for future release.  Join us at 1 pm on Sunday\, February 5.  Come early to see if plants donated to Castellow have been effective attracting butterflies to their garden. \nElection of Officers: \nShelby Heeter\, Nominations Chair will present the slate of officers: \nPresident: Linda Evans \nV.Pres. K \nNote: \n“A Walk on the Wild Side” by Laura de Ara (Interpretive Program Leader)\, will lead a guided tour of Castellow Hammock.  Take a tour of our garden and nature trail to find out which butterflies are active each season and what attracts them.  Learn how to plant a garden of your own\, what you can do to assist local parks and how you can play a role in saving our pollinators from extinction.  Join her for a guided tour at Castellow Hammock offered every first Sunday of the month  from 11:30-1 pm.  There will be a fee for this walk of 4$ per person\,  funds going to Castellow Hammock.
