SUMMARY:Fall Miami Blue meeting location has changed.
DESCRIPTION:Save the date:  Sunday\, November 5\, 2017\, 1 pm at the Doc Thomas House\, 5530 Sunset Drive\, South Miami\, Florida 33143.  We had to change the location due to the hurricane damage in the Keys. \nOur speakers will be Jean Sarmiento and Houston Cypress.  They are creative forces in environmental advocacy.  They specialize in native plants and habitat restoration with the implantation of artistic strategies.  Houston Cypress is a two-spirit poet\, artist and  activist from the Otter Clan of the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida. \nPlease bring a snack for the group.  Finger foods are preferred. \nPARKING: \nFree on-site parking is limited.  Enter from the 55th Avenue side of the property. \nOverflow parking: \nWe will have permits from the Tropical Audubon Society for overflow parking.  Thanks to the generosity of Riviera Presbyterian Church\, 5275 Sunset Drive\, come to the TAS parking entrance on 55 Ave. just south of Sunset Drive and if there is no parking available\, pick up a dashboard authorization to place clearly visible on the dash.  Parking at the church is on all sides of the building and is available until 4 pm. \nMetered and garage parking is readily available across the street and also within a few blocks including the Sunset place parking garage and South Miami municipal parking garage\, 5829 SW 73 Street.  OR valet parking at George’s across the street.
