SUMMARY:Pinecrest - Loop Road NABA Count
DESCRIPTION:We will have our Loop Road Count on Saturday\, June 18\, 2022. \nThis is a magical trip through the Everglades\, where we will monitor the more unusual butterflies that are found in this remote area. We typically drive a mile\, stop and count\, then drive again so we can cool off in the car’s ac.  \nThis is an all day event\, so bring water\, a bag lunch\, mosquito spray\, hat\, long sleeves etc.  \nWe will adhere to the CDC recommendations for wearing masks when appropriate and social distancing.  \nWe will meet at 9 am at the eastern end of Loop Road where it meets US 41.  \n(Click map below to enlarge) \n \nLet Linda Evans know if we you can join us at lmemia@aol.com. \nThe $3 fee goes to NABA.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for this year’s Coral Gables NABA Count on Saturday\, June 25\, 2022. \nThis annual count visits butterfly hot spots throughout suburban Coral Gables\, Palmetto Bay\, and Key Biscayne. We will need all our beginning and experienced butterfly watchers to cover so much territory\, so close to home.\n \nTeams will simultaneously fan out to the Charles Deering Estate\, Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden\, Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park\, Virginia Key\, and Coral Gables.  \nLet Linda Evans know which team you would like to join at lmemia@aol.com. After you choose a site\, your team leader will contact you with instructions\, including when and where to meet.   \nWe will adhere to CDC and Miami-Dade County Covid  recommendations for wearing face masks\, social distancing\, and so on. Bring close-focusing binoculars\, plenty of water\, a hat\, sun screen\, and rain gear (just in case).\n \nThe $3 fee goes to NABA.
