DESCRIPTION:The Calderon Pineland Restoration Project\, Florida Power & Light Power to Care Event\, will be held on Wednesday\, March 8th from 9:00 am to Noon. \nCome join more than 100 volunteers and employees from FP&L\, EEL\, NABA and the Miami Blue Chapter\, plus County and City officials. \nFP&L will provide snack and lunch\, port-a-john\, woodchipper\, safety glasses\, and release forms/registration for participants. EEL will provide work gloves\, water\, wheelbarrows\, and tents and tables. \nThis is an exciting opportunity to get some work done and to educate the public about pine rocklands\, native plants\, butterflies and other creatures who live at Calderon. It is also a great way to acknowledge a major donor (FP&L) for their support! \nClick on poster below for a full size readable image.

At the “T”\, turn Left (West) and follow the road to Shelter #8\, which will be on your right side. Additional parking is directly opposite at Shelter #9. The gates at the entrance from Talbot Rd (SW 134th Ave)\, although a shorter ride to the Shelter\, are not always open.
