SUMMARY:Schaus’ Swallowtail Surveys 2023
DESCRIPTION:Once again this year\, the Miami Blue Chapter will participate in surveying North Key Largo for the rare Schaus’ Swallowtail.  We will join county\, state and federal environmental staff and volunteers in search of this rare beauty.  If you are interested in joining us\, email: \nSelina Alberti\, Environmental Specialist\, Florida Park Service;  Salena.Alberti@floridadep.gov \nSurvery will begin April 15\, 2015 and will continue until mid June 2023. \nTwo Schaus’ Swallowtails were sighted in late April this year.  Come join us!!!

SUMMARY:Shark Valley NABA Count
DESCRIPTION:Once again\, we will be doing a Shark Valley North American Butterfly Association (NABA) count on the 15 of April\, 2023. \nTwo teams will cover our circle. One will meet at the Shark Valley Visitors Center at 9 am. We will cover both sides of the park\, then proceed east on US 41 (Tamiami Trail). The second team will meet on US 41 at the L67 canal\, approximately five miles east of the Shark Valley Visitors Center entrance. \nBring lunch\, water\, sun screen and bug spray.
