DESCRIPTION:Join us for our 2nd Shark Valley NABA count on Saturday July 12th\, 2025. There again will be two teams covering our Shark Valley circle. \nTeam #1 will meet at the Shark Valley Visitors Center at 9:00 am and will cover both sides of the park\, then proceed east on US 41 (Tamiami Trail)\, finishing around 1:00 pm. To sign up please contact Linda Evans at lmemia@aol.com . \nTeam #2 will meet on US 41 at the L67 canal “pump station” at 9:00 am\, approximately five miles east of the Shark Valley Visitors Center entrance\, finishing around 3:30-4:00 pm. To sign up please contact Dennis Olle at DennisOlle@me.com. \nMake sure to dress appropriately for the environment\, bring mosquito spray\, sunscreen\, water and a lunch. \n* * OPEN TO ALL – EXPERIENCE NOT NEEDED * *\nProfessionals\, casual butterfly enthusiasts\, photographers\, children of all ages\, experience in identifying butterflies NOT required. Come for all or part of the day\, walk along with the experts and see our South Florida Butterflies in their native environments.

SUMMARY:Loop Road NABA Butterfly Count 2025
DESCRIPTION:Come join us on our annual Loop Road/Pinecrest NABA Count on Saturday July 26th\, 2025. \nThere will be two teams\, meeting at different starting points this year\, as follows. \nTeam #1\, led by Dennis Olle will meet at the Oasis Visitors Center (52105 Tamiami Trail) at 8:45 am. The team will then work their way East\, making several stops including Clyde Butcher’s Big Cypress Gallery\, Midway Campground and various other points along the Tamiami Canal. We probably will not stop at the Jetport (now Alligator Alcatraz)\, ending up at the 40-mile bend.
