Favorable Rulings on the Miami Wilds Development

On December 11th, 2023 Federal Judge Patricia Seitz overturned a decision by the National Park Service that would have allowed the Miami Wilds waterpark near Zoo Miami to move forward.  Click HERE to read her ruling. 

Judge Patricia Seitz also ordered the National Park Service (NPS) to dive deeper into the Miami Wilds Water Park as it failed to meet an obligation to consult with the Fish and Wildlife Service over endangered species that inhabit the Miami Wilds project site.

In addition, earlier on November 15th, Mayor Daniella Levine Cava recommended rescinding the lease with the developer to build a water park near Zoo Miami. Click HERE to read her Memo to the County Commission.
