Everglades National Park has closed Shark Valley and Ingraham Highway (the road from Lucky Hammock to Flamingo), beginning March 20. Hunker-down, count the butterflies in your yard, and stay safe.
Join the Miami Blue Chapter for our spring Shark Valley count. This is an area that has a diverse habitat and because of this has butterflies not seen elsewhere in the county.
We will meet at the Shark Valley Vistors Center at 8:30 am on Saturday, March 28, 2020. Bring water, hat, sunscreen, a bag lunch and mosquito spray although it is unlikely needed this time of year. We will cover Shark Valley, then head back towards Miami surveying the road side areas.
