Coral Gables Butterfly Counts – Volunteers Needed

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Join us for our Coral Gables NABA Butterfly count on Saturday, June 22nd, 2024.

There will be multiple teams covering our wide Coral Gables circle. We have a lot of territory to cover, so come one, come all. You don’t have to be an expert.

One team will cover Coral Gables proper, will start at 9:00 am and finish around 3:30-4:00 pm. To register contact Dennis Olle at DennisOlle@me.com and he will tell you where to meet.

Other teams will cover Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, the Charles Deering Estate, Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, and Virginia Key. They will all start at 9:00 am and finish around 1:00 pm. To register for any of these locations contact Linda Evans at lmemia@aol.com and she will tell you where to meet.

Make sure to dress appropriately for the environment, bring mosquito spray, sunscreen, water and a lunch.

* * OPEN TO ALL – EXPERIENCE NOT NEEDED * *
Professionals, casual butterfly enthusiasts, photographers, children of all ages, experience in identifying butterflies NOT required. Come for all or part of the day, walk along with the experts and see our South Florida Butterflies in their native environments.
