Loop Road Count Results
Eleven intrepid observers took part in the 17th annual Pincrest (tri-county) survey. This count covers Loop Road and environs, including the Loop Road community of Pinecrest. (Loop Road begins just west of Forty-Mile Bend, runs west then north for 27 miles, and reconnects with Tamiami Trail at gone-but-not-forgotten Monroe Station.) Participants counted 29 species and 532 individual butterflies.
