An in depth comment letter to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service re the Critical Habitat designation on the Miami Tiger Beetle. This designation would also have an impact on other endangered species such as the Florida bonneted bat, Florida leafwing butterfly, Bartram’s scrub-hairstreak butterfly, Florida Brickell-bush, Carter’s smallflowered flax, deltoid spurge, and tiny polygala. All of them utilize or depend on the pine rocklands and would benefit from a final designation of critical habitat for the Miami tiger beetle.
