Schaus’ Swallowtail Surveys in Key Largo 2022

The Schaus’ Swallowtail Surveys in Key Largo are in full swing. It has been a slow start this year due to the lack of rain. It is starting to pick up. If you are interested in joining the team, you will have to get signed up by emailing:

The Schaus’ Swallowtail is one of the most endangered butterflies in the US. We have been counting them since 2011 with optimistic numbers increasing. You will need permits, sun protection and insect protection as well. And lots of water as well. Looking forward to seeing you out there.
