Shark Valley NABA Count Sat. July 14,2018

Hold the date for Saturday, July 14 for our Shark Valley NABA Count.  Come join us for the Miami Blue Chapter, NABA butterfly count.  Although hot, this is a wonderful opportunity to find unusual butterflies not seen elsewhere in Miami. We will meet at the Shark Valley Visitors Center parking lot on Saturday, July 14 at 8:30 am.  We will walk for several hours, so bring lots of water, hat, bug spray and binoculars if you have them. Cameras are helpful as well.

Shark Valley is about 25 minutes west of Krome Avenue on the south side of the Tamiami Trail (SW 8th Street).

This is the 13th year for this count which provides critical data for scientists to study populations of butterflies from year to year.

There is a fee of $3. per person which goes to NABA.
